The Sett team will work with you to select your preferred fabrics, fit and details, making recommendations along the way based on what suits you best. Our aim is to create an outfit that seems personal, rather than something you can pick up off a rail on the high street.

The Sett Fitting Experience
At Sett, we do not believe choosing your wedding outfit should feel intimidating or overly formal, every consultation is personal.
When you visit us, you’ll sit down with our team, talk through what you’re looking for and have some time to explore different options. We’ll get to know your style, your preferences and what you want your wedding outfit to say about you.
Our team are stylists, not salespeople. We’ll make recommendations based on what genuinely works for you, not what suits the majority of our customers, or what is currently trending. From a selection of tartans, fabrics and cuts, colours and accessories, our team is here to guide you.
What to expect at your wedding fitting?
A Sett stylist will talk with you about your ideas, show you options and help you begin putting your look together. From there, we will take measurements and ensure everything will be the correct fit for you.
If you have chosen a made-to-measure suit and settled on your look, we’ll finalise details on measurements and design, and send them off to our tailoring specialist partner in the south of England. Your made-to-order suit will then be created, with an 6-8 week wait before it arrives at Sett, ready for collection.
If you have chosen to hire a kilt from our MacGregor and MacDuff selection of tartans within Sett, the measuring process remains the same, before being processed by the MacGregor and MacDuff team in Glasgow. Your kilt will be available for collection 2 days before your event, or you can arrange delivery to receive your highlandwear outfit 4 days before your special occasion.

Made-to-order suits are created to your measurements from an existing design, giving you a personalised fit while keeping the original design and construction. Made-to-measure gives you more freedom to create a suit that’s truly your own.
Absolutely. You don’t have to choose between Highlandwear and tailoring. We can help you create a coordinated look across your wedding party, whether that’s a kilt for the groom and suits for the groomsmen, or a combination that suits your wedding and individual styles.
Our kilt hire service includes a selection of 16 tartans, chosen based on their popularity and versatility to suit a wide range of customers. If you’re looking for a specific clan tartan or a tartan outside of our selected range, our Choose Any Tartan service gives you access to a much wider choice.
